Description

Well, the very first of my versions of the Greek-Roman gods, although she has quite classical looks with her scepter (which I totally messed up :( ), her diadem and veil, but I like her that way, just as she was portrayed in the movie "Clash of the Titans": a calm and worthy queen.
Well, the face is not bad, but the proportions don't fit sometimes. Oh, and please ignore the feet, as I obviously did :)

So, who was Hera/Juno? Third daughter of Kronos and Rhea, married to her brother Zeus who betrayed her a lot. I think 60% of Greek myths are about Zeus' love affairs, 30% about Hera's wrath and well, the other 10% is for the other twelve Olympians.
Mostly are Ares, god of war, and Hephaistos, god of the smiths, depicted as sons of Hera and Zeus. To me, they're only sons of Hera. Hephaistos she bore on her one, Ares with the help of a magical flower, as you can read by Ovid. So, they're no children born from an incestuous relationship. I know, I didn't mention Hebe and Ilithyia, the daughters of Zeus and Hera. Well, I've read somewhere that Hebe maybe was born the same way as Ares: Hera touched some cabbage lettuce and WHOOPS she was pregnant. And about Ilithyia ... well I don't know yet ...
